Embedded Design Engineering

Dan is a professional and talented embedded design engineer. I’ve worked closely with Dan since 2016  and have always been impressed with his work ethic, his inquisitiveness, and his passion for anything related to electronics. I was the manager for the electronics engineering team at Emerson and Dan was  a key member of that team. The designs he worked on have included embedded hardware, firmware,  embedded Linux, and more. Besides his excellent natural troubleshooting and design skills, Dan also has a consistent commitment and focus on delivering value to the customer. I’ve also continued to work with Dan on many projects since he started his own business. I am now the Director of Controls for Middleby and we are still using Dan and his team for our designs. Furthermore, I’m not alone in my assessment of his skills and business sense because I’ve heard many colleges both at Emerson and  Middleby comment on how much they respect and like working with him.

We have been working with the team at Embedded Design Engineering since 2018.  They are extremely talented professionals who are fully capable of electronic and firmware design, development, and testing.  We have tasked them with various projects over the years including new product designs, updates to existing designs, and many firmware revisions.  In addition to being a skilled engineer and team manager, Dan is fantastic at managing our projects from start to finish with clear communication, valuable insight, and creative solutions to any challenges that arise.  I would highly recommend EDE to any company wishing to add real value to their embedded systems.

I have worked with Dan Hilgert for a number of years, both as a colleague and a customer. Dan’s professionalism and attention to detail are exceptional. Dan has successfully tackled numerous design challenges, across many different applications. Customer focus and no-nonsense communication are two of Dan’s strengths.
